There are many moving parts to this story, so let’s begin by tying down the three major players.
The Story of The Spaniard is a malt whisky blend aged in Spanish sherry and red wine casks from the Scotch whisky maker Compass Box. The Spaniard is a New York City craft cocktail bar, for which Compass Box previously created a bespoke whisky that inspired The Story of the Spaniard, now available nationwide. Meta is a bar in downtown Louisville specializing in craft and classic cocktails.
