Fourth Street Live has been undergoing a sort of renaissance this past year, and a fixture on the scene, the Sports & Social Club, has undergone a recent renovation to keep itself as lively as its compeers. A quart-million dollar investment has sleek, contemporary finishes, new furniture and booths and refinished hardwood floors.
A recent article  in Louisville Business First noted that the upgrading of the Sports & Social Club is part of the larger changes and updating going on at Fourth Street Live. Other recent changes include the opening of Birracibo, an Italian restaurant operated by Junior Bridgeman’s restaurant group, in the location that had been Ri Ra Irish Bar for a short while.
Jim Beam Urban Stillhouse, Bourbon Raw and the Goose Island Beer Bridge have all opened in the past year as well. And recently there was a lot of hoopla about V food phenom Guy Fieri planning to open a barbecue place in the complex.
