Doors open at 4:00 p.m. today (22 November 2023) when The Eagle Food & Beer Hall launches its second Louisville location at Oxmoor Center.
Cincinnati’s Thunderdome Restaurant Group operates eight locations of The Eagle overall, including Louisville’s first at 1314 Bardstown Road (since 2016).
Another of the group’s concepts, Bakersfield, opened at the former HopCat (1064 Bardstown Road) in September.
The Eagle’s menu features house-brined, hand-dredged fried chicken (free range, with proprietary seasoning), as well as sandwiches, salads, and a variety of comfort food sides, along with a full bar service that includes craft cocktails, craft beers and bubbly.
HuffPost and Chicago Tribune have devoted coverage to The Eagle’s fried chicken, and the Travel Channel named it as one of the “10 Most Hype-worthy Fried Chicken Restaurants” in America.
For opening night at Oxmoor Center, The Eagle will hand out $50 gift cards to each of first 50 customers, with an additional $20,000 in free food to be given out throughout December. Customers can sign up here for a chance to win.

The Eagle’s guests at Oxmoor Center may dine in or online for easy carryout and delivery. The restaurant’s posted hours:
Tue – Thu: 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Fri – Sat: 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Sun: 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
