The fifth annual Four Roses ‘NuLuDays’ Holiday Cocktail Challenge is a three-week-long contest designed to gently ease Louisville into the holiday spirit.
It’s a user-friendly competition. Mixologists at five participating NuLu establishments have created signature cocktails using Four Roses Small Batch, and these cocktails will be served at their respective bars throughout the duration of the contest, from Saturday, November 30 to Friday, December 20.
Guests are asked to sample these cocktails and vote for their favorite by visiting www.NuLuDays.com and clicking on their top choice. There is no “minimum” sampling expectation.
The winning mixologist will win cash prizes, Four Roses gear and a place among the esteemed past winners. Following are the participating bars and restaurants, with the names of their entries.

Against the Grain’s Trisha Torpey took top honors last year. Winners will be revealed the week of December 22.
- 1st place: $1,000 prize, signed bottle of Four Roses from Master Distiller Brent Elliott & a signature barrel head.
- 2nd place: $750 prize and a signed bottle of Four Roses
- 3rd place: $500 prize and a signed bottle of Four Roses

NuLu-area mixologists will once again compete for ‘best holiday Bourbon cocktail recipe’ during the Four Roses Bourbon NuLuDays Holiday Cocktail Challenge this season. And they need your help to earn top honors and a spot on the nice list.

We’ll start our stroll at Against the Grain and make our way down Market Street, visiting NuluDays participating locations and sampling premium seasonal cocktails.
