The Post debuted at 1045 Goss Ave. in 2015, and in this passage from the pizzeria’s web site, all due introductions are made. For those linguists reading today, you’ll note the unmistakable Germantown-accented English.
Pizza for the People
When the Lone Wolf Post finally coughed its last breath and the historic building went on the market, we popped an Alan Jackson cassette out of a tired old deck and proclaimed Louisville VFW Post #3593 officially dead.
But after more than a year of ceaseless renovation with a team of architects and a vision of greatness, we radically transformed the space into a 1,600 sq. ft. community gathering hall serving fantastic food and the coldest beer in town.
(Of course, ruefully laments the resident Beer Guy, it always has to be the coldest beer, doesn’t it? By the way, the “Hip Hops” column will return next week, with nary a peep about thermostats.)
Soon there’ll be a second location of The Post, to open in the Highlands, as revealed to us by Michael L. Jones at Louisville Business First.
The Post is opening a carryout-only restaurant at 1759 Bardstown Road in the Shops at Deer Park development. The roughly 1,400-square-foot space, previously occupied by Rawnaissance Desserts, is located between Pivot Brewing Co. and Darling’s cocktail bar.
Work has started on the space. The Post’s owners hope to be open in the Highlands by year’s end, and perhaps as early as October if all goes well.
