On Tuesday, September 10 Bourbons Bistro (2255 Frankfort Avenue) is partnering with Castle & Key Distillery for a four-course dinner featuring Castle & Key spirits. The guest speaker will be Brett Conners, Castle & Key’s Brand Ambassador.

Enjoy a reception in the Rick Room lounge with assorted appetizers. Plus create your own Gin and Tonic at the botanicals bar before you sit down to dinner prepared by Chef Jereme McFarland. We’ll have a few surprises along the way including some exclusive tastings and a special dessert pairing.

Constructed in 1887 as the Old Taylor Distillery, Castle & Key is the fruition of a time-consuming and costly architectural reclamation project. The 113-acre site near Frankfort is now open to bourbon tourists.

Bourbons Bistro will be the subject of a profile in the forthcoming Fall 2019 edition of Food & Dining Magazine. Here’s a teaser.

Jason Brauner and John Morrison opened Bourbons Bistro in 2005. Call it cosmic, karmic or just a well-turned business plan, but their Frankfort Avenue refuge became an instant classic, primarily because Brauner and Morrison scanned the cluttered landscape of gimmicky bar and restaurant concepts, settling on a unifying principle so incredibly obvious as to be invisible: Bourbon.

The September 10 event’s cost is $45 per person, plus tax and gratuity. The reception begins at 6:30 p.m., with dinner following at 7:00 p.m. Call 502-894-8838 to reserve your seat at the table.
