We begin with an introduction to House of Ruth.
House of Ruth provides housing and a continuum of support services for people with HIV/AIDS and their families who are homeless, at risk of losing their homes or need financial help to empower these individuals to be more self-reliant to live a healthier, safer and more equitable life.
On December 1 (Thursday), Brown-Forman presents Dining Out for Life®, benefitting House of Ruth. The annual fundraising event raises money for community-based
organizations serving people living with or impacted by HIV.

House of Ruth, the only local organization committed to ending homelessness among people living with HIV and AIDS, is happy to announce the annual fundraising event Dining Out for Life will return on World AIDS Day, December 1, 2022.
Each year, Dining Out for Life raises money for community-based organizations serving people living with or impacted by HIV. As part of the event, many of the best Kentuckiana restaurants join together in support of House of Ruth by donating a percentage of gross sales to support its HIV/AIDS housing and support services. This year’s event is presented by Brown-Forman, Childress & Associates, L&N Federal Credit Union, and Creation Gardens.
“Dining Out for Life is definitely something we look forward,” said Lisa Sutton, Executive Director of House of Ruth. “To see how local restaurants and restaurant-goers come together in support of our mission is incredible. As a nonprofit, we rely on events like these to ensure we can continue to do what we do. Our staff and the people and families we serve couldn’t be more grateful.”
House of Ruth is still working on which restaurants will be participating but promises an announcement in the coming weeks. Past Dining Out for Life partners have included a wide variety of restaurants in Louisville with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert options. Diners simply have to enjoy a meal at any of the participating restaurants to show their support; no fliers or coupons are necessary. Donations can also be made directly at www.HouseofRuth.net.
