Home Run Burgers to open fifth location in former KFC restaurant in Fern Creek
Home Run Burgers plans to open a new location at 6600 Bardstown Road in July. The more than 2,000-square-foot building was previously occupied by a KFC restaurant.
Home Run Burgers was launched in 2008 by founders Bob Kiper and Kathy Scannell in 2008. The brand offers angus beef burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, and a number of sides. The restaurants also serve breakfast.
There were three Home Run Burgers restaurants at the time of purchase. As noted, Fern Creek will be the fifth, and Jha envisions 10-20 more.
Jha opened a fourth location at 5608 Outer Loop in South Louisville in November 2022, and he expects to expand the chain even more in the near future. He said there will more company-owned and franchise stores. Jha said the franchise fee will be $25,000.
