Martin’s Bar-B-Que, a Nashville-based company that specializes in Tennessee-style whole-hog barbecue, will have the grand opening of its first Louisville location today, Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 11 a.m. It is opening at 3408 Indian Lake Dr., a location that formerly housed the Indian Springs golf clubhouse.
The Louisville outlet will be the sixth Martin’s Bar-B-Que, which started in Nashville in 2006. The distinction it plans in the Louisville market is a smoking pit in the center of the restaurant, which will cook a whole hog. Its menu includes barbecue sandwiches, ribs and wings, smoked sausage dogs and a “redneck taco,” pulled pork atop a cornbread hoe-cake, with slaw and sauce.
