In the last several weeks, news of plans for future restaurants has been percolating rapidly. So many, in fact, that we likely will have to inform you of them in several posts. From Fourth Street Live to the renovated Speed Art Museum to Germantown and the Highlands, more eating choices are set to appear.
Turnovers of businesses seem a regular feature of Fourth Street Live, with several restaurant closings recently, but that lively space always finds new concepts to join the fray. Maker’s Mark Bourbon House & Lounge closed in June, but that space will soon become Bourbon Raw, offering oysters as they should be eaten, cold and still alive.
Another restaurant soon to fill an empty space at Fourth Street Live, the corner location that was Rí Rá Irish Pub, is slated to become Cleaver and Cask, touted as a farm-to-table concept with a focus on gourmet meats.
Sully’s Restaurant will close by the end of September; the replacement for those space is to be a wood-fired pizza and burger restaurants. The Pub, which closed earlier, is to become a restaurant featuring Southern cuisine. No other details are available at this writing.
While not a restaurant per se, a final important addition to Fourth Street Live will be Jim Beam Distillery’s Urban Stillhouse, working toward an Oct. 1 opening. It will be another Bourbon-focused visitors center that will include a distillery, a bottling line, a tasting room and Jim Beam tchotchkes for sale.
