Hammerheads, the lovable little half-underground space on Swan St. that Adam Burress and Chase Murcerino made into one of the hottest dining spots in Germantown, has been closed for renovations for several weeks, but the restaurant’s Facebook page has announced that they are now re-opened as of Monday, Aug. 29.
In a story in Inside Louisville, co-owner Burress told Insider Louisville that the 94-year-old house needed some upgrades. Burress said they installed new drywall, repainted, leveled out the drooping ceiling, added new paneling and replaced the roof, which was badly in need of replacement.
According to the story, Hammerheads closed Aug. 8. Reopening dates were revised several times, because renovations took longer than planned, for as work progressed, more issues needed attention kept being uncovered.
