The 12th annual Keg Liquors Fest of Ale happens tomorrow, Saturday, June 3, at the New Albany Riverfront Amphitheater, 201 E. Water St. One hundred ten breweries will be serving at least 250different kinds of beers and other quaffables, including wines, ciders and soft drinks, from American craft breweries, cideries and imports.
Ticket sales have been limited to about 2,000, to keep lines more reasonable. Mellow Mushroom is sponsoring $15 shuttle service to and from the festival; that price includes a ride, a pint and an appetizer Mellow Mushroom.
Among the special events will be a tapping of Founder’s Kentucky Breakfast Stout at 5 p.m., and at 5:30 a tapping of Dark Horse Bourbon Barrel Aged Plead the 5th Imperial Stout.
The festival, which supports the WHAS Crusade for Children, runs from 3-7 p.m., with an after-party at Gospel Bird, 207 E Main St, New Albany. Tickets are $40 in advance or $50 at the gate; tickets can be purchased online or at either Keg Liquors location: 617 E. Lewis & Clark Parkway in Clarksville, or at 4304 Charlestown Road in New Albany.
