Need a little luxury in your life? The treat yourself to the Adelsheim wine dinner at Corbett’s: An American Place (5050 Norton Healthcare Blvd.) on Oct. 9.
Yeah, we know they could serve a Night Train wine dinner and still blow your socks off, so knowing some superb vino from our West Coast cousins will be on the table should further incent you to make a reservation by calling 502-327-5058.
The event starts at 6:30 p.m. with a surfeit of hors d’oeuvre followed by five more courses. The whole shebang, paired with Adelsheim wines, costs $85 per person (tax and gratuity not included).

Hors d’oeuvre: mortadella, braised mustard seeds, sour cherry clam fritter, lemon chive aioli, caramelized onion, roasted garlic, white anchovy and puffed pastry served with Adelsheim Pinot Gris
Starter course: scallop crudo, navel orange, Marcona almond, fried dill and radish paired with Adelsheim chardonnay
Second course: wild mushroom risotto with whipped buttermilk and Parmesan paired with Adelsheim pinot noir
Fish course: wild salmon, pistachio crust, fennel confit, chanterelles and chive crème fraiche paired with Adelsheim Elizabeth Reserve pinot noir
Game course: duck breast with butternut squash puree, Brussels sprouts, roasted pearl onions and natural jus paired with Adelsheim Bryan’s Creek pinot noir
Cheese course: whipped brie, toasted levain, pickled carrot, pomegranate molasses and walnuts
