Asia Institute-Crane House will celebrate the Year of the Sheep at the annual Asian New Year Dinner and Auction on Feb. 21, at The Gillespie, 421 W. Market St. The event will feature food created by six emerging Asian and Asian-American chefs under the direction of Chef Peng Looi of Asiatique and August Moon Chinese Bistro.
Each chef will prepare an Asian-inspired hors d’oeuvre and dinner course. The chefs will be James Moran, from Seviche–a Latin Restaurant; Serge Katz, from Vincenzo’s, Ming Pu, of Asiatique; Robbi Santos from Ward 426; Kristen Bucayu from Proof and Jeff Siang from Simply Thai.
Dress for this major fund-raiser in support of Asia Institute-Crane House will be black tie. There will be performances by local artists in the Louisville Asian community, and, of course, live and silent auctions of donated items.

Following the dinner and auction, the Crane House Young Professionals will host The Year of the Sheep after party featuring sushi from Ichiban Samurai, henna tattoo artists, performances, poker and blackjack tables, silent auction and a cash bar.
