Equus/Jack’s Lounge, 122 Sears Ave., will host a Maker’s Mark dinner Monday, March 7 at 6:30 p.m. to benefit APRON, Inc., the local organization that provides financial assistance to restaurant employees with medical or other emergency problems.
Chef/owner Dean Corbett is hosting the event with Bill Samuels, Jr., of Maker’s Mark. Diners can bring their favorite Maker’s bottle for Samuels to sign.
The four-course menu features fare from the new chef de cuisine, Jess Inman, with drink pairings by Jack’s premier mixologist Joy Perrine, whom Corbett calls “the bad girl of bourbon.”
The menu will begin with a diver scallop on roasted red pepper polenta, followed by a spinach salad with Stilton. A surf and turf is the entrée, a marinated flat iron steak with cornbread purée and Icelandic cod with potato and leek hash. Dessert will be a honey panna cotta.
The dinner and Bourbon pairings will be $100; 25 percent of proceeds will be donated to APRON. Call (502) 897-9721 or go to www.equusrestaurant.com.
