Whiskey with Asian food? No kidding. In fact, if you’ve never enjoyed it that way, you’re in for a real treat.
If your palate picks out the spicy notes in good whiskey, just wait until you sip some with great Asian food.
On Aug. 29 at 7 p.m., Asiatique (1767 Bardstown Road) is putting on special dinner featuring whiskey and whiskey cocktails served with each course. You can doubly indulge with after dinner cigars.
Andy Nelson from Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery in Nashville will be on hand to discuss the whiskeys being presented.

Starter Course: “The Silver Manhattan” featuring Catoctin Creek Rye Whiskey with seared fennel dusted diver scallops with roasted corn salsa and warm bacon vinaigrette
Main Course: Bank Note Blended Scotch Whiskey with grilled coco dusted lamb chops with sautéed white been, escarole and cha siu sauce
Dessert Course: Belle Meade Tennessee Bourbon with house-made wildflower honey ice cream with ginger soil, & white peach coulis
After Dinner: High West ‘Campfire’ Blend of Rye, Bourbon and Scotch with a cigar selection from J. Paul Tucker & Oxmoor Smoke Shoppe: Crowned Heads Cigars with Four Kicks Robusto Extra and Headley Grange Estupendos.
