Restaurateur Kevin Grangier, who already has under his belt The Village Anchor & Pub and PICNIC in Anchorage, and Le Moo Fine Steak House on the edge of the Highlands, is planning another restaurant, focused on Italian cuisine, in Holiday Manor on Brownsboro Rd.
Grassa Grama is the working name of the new restaurant, which Granger hopes to open early next year in the space that has housed Emperor of China restaurant for 30 years.
According to a news release, Grassa Grama will offer northern and southern Italian dishes, including house-made pastas, sauces, pizzas, breads and pastries. Tarek Hamada, who is senior manager and maitre d’ at Le Moo, has already been named manager of the new place. A national search reportedly is under way for positions of executive and sous chefs.
