We have been watching the progress of the transformation of the unprepossessing old truck garage at 1019 E. Main St. in Butchertown into the crisp, airy Pho Ba Luu, a fast-casual Vietnamese restaurant, for some weeks now. The renovations to the old commercial building in the new Butcherblock commercial area are complete, and the restaurant will open for service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, for lunch.
The restaurant will serve lunch Tuesday through Thursday, and will serve lunch and dinner Friday and Saturday its first week. Starting Sept. 19, hours of operation will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Pho Ba Luu’s menu includes banh mi sandwiches, pho and vermicelli bowls.
Ordering is done at the counter, and food may be eaten inside in the high-ceilinged main room, or out on the back patio.
