Thursday, Aug. 21, at 7 p.m., Sean Thibodeaux, mixologist from St. Charles Exchange, will lead a class on concocting a few of his favorite cocktails mace with Woodford Reserve Bourbon.
The class will be held in the teaching space at Bourbon Barrel Foods, 1201 Story Ave., in the Butchertown Market Building. Along with the cocktails, guests will also enjoy appetizers made with Bourbon Barrel Foods products.
Sean’s drinks menu will include the Hillsdale Cocktail, made with Woodford Reserve Bourbon, lime juice, Woodford Reserve Mint Julep Simple Syrup, and club soda; Sean’s Old Fashioned, which he makes with Woodford Reserve, sorghum, bitters, and citrus oils; a Savory Manhattan, concocted with Woodford Reserve, sweet Vermouth blend, Woodford Reserve Aromatic Bitters, Bluegrass Soy Sauce Caramel and Bourbon Smoked Paprika; and the Kentucky Jewel–Woodford Reserve Double Oaked, walnut syrup, Meletti Amaro and Woodford Reserve Sassafras and Sorghum Bitters.
