La Chasse owner Isaac Fox and executive chef Alex Dulaney are ready to open their new restaurant tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 9. The atmosphere will be European country casual, and the menu will be an ambitious melding of French and Spanish cuisine.
La Chasse’s location at 1359 Bardstown Rd. was for many years Palermo Viejo, which closed earlier this year. The quick turnover meant the premises needed little work aside from cleaning, painting and minor renovation.
Chef Alex Dulaney had been executive chef at Le Relais; he will be assisted by sous chef Kim Elan. In keeping with the ideas suggested by the name (la chasse means “the hunt” in French) Dulaney’s menu will include rabbit and venison.
After Friday’s opening, La Chasse will be open for dinner only, Tuesday-Thursday 5-10 p.m., and Friday-Saturday 5-11 p.m. The bar will remain open late on Friday and Saturday.
