Brasserie Provence, 150 N.Hurstbourne Pkwy., will host its fourth annual 5-course Holiday Champagne Dinner on Thursday, December 7 at 6:30 p.m. Advanced Level Sommelier Julie DeFriend from Vintner Select will be on hand to discuss her selections of a reserve sparkling wine, three unusual Champagnes and a Champagne liqueur served with dessert.
The wines will be paired with an International Food Tour menu devised by Chef Patrick Gosden. The dinner will start with a fried Maine lobster and Kentucky mushroom fritter with a sweet California chili sauce, paired with Domaine de la Ferrandière Pinot Gris Frisante Reserve will be served at the Reception. Dinner begins with Chartogne-Taillet “Cuvée Sainte Anne” accompanying a Norwegian smoked salmon Benedict, made with a poached duck egg. The seafood course pairs Pierre Peters “Cuvée de Réserve” Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Brut with grouper cheeks pad thai. The main entrée includes Jean Vesselle Brut Rosé “Oeil de Perdrix” served with a duck confit empanada and duck magret asado tortilla. Dessert will be an Italian raspberry tiramisu paired with Geoffroy Ratafia de Champagne.
