Migo, the newest restaurant idea from the Hammerhead/Game/Loop 22 guys, Adam Burress and Chase Murcerino opens tonight at 5 p.m. at 2222 Dundee Rd., in the renovated and redecorated space that was their Loop 22 until last spring. “We are going to be having fun and doing our style of tacos,” Burress said in a phone interview. The taco concept – a small tortilla topped with a savory mixture – will show influences from Brazil, Argentina and even Korea, according to Burress.
The space looks “entirely different” from what it last was, Burress said. Some local artists have painted murals on the wall. There is no Mexican or Latin theme to the space, Burress said, “it’s just laid back and comfortable.”
The ingredients will be locally sourced as much as possible, including the tortillas, which are made by someone in Kentucky. There will be a full bar, with hours for now 5-11 p.m. The possibility of lunch hours, and late-night service will be determined later.
